History of Christianity 4: Trials and Triumphs

In this video, we take a look at the history of the Christian Church during the years 300-350. We briefly look at the conversions of Armenia (the world's first officially Christian nation) and Ethiopia. We also learn about the persecution of Christians in the Roman Empire under Diocletian, called the Great Persecution, and how this finally and gloriously came to an end with the conversion of St. Constantine the Great to Christianity and his ascension to the position of sole ruler of the Roman Empire. We also briefly examine the reign of Constantine, as well as the Arian controversy and the ensuing First Ecumenical Council at Nicaea.
